chinese dogs, part deux

china has gone to the doggs. all of these little babers were just hanging out street side. do i wish these were my dogs? yes and no.

this little dream dog belongs to my besties parents.  he is in a league of his own.  he has a deformed back leg and answers to the name of crabman.  he likes to eat peanuts and ice cream.  he enjoys candlelight dinners and long walks on the beach.  do i wish this was my dog? uh yeah.

shitzy (shih tzu)

this ruff rider was hanging out solo on the porch.  i could hear the owner inside yelling scriptures from the bible.  i was worried she was gonna come out and yell at me for taking pictures of her dog, but she didn't come out and when i peeked in the house i didn't see her.  the next day i was driving around and saw her laying in the park with the dog still in the stroller.  i have a bad vibe that this dog never leaves his stroller, i just hope he is wearing a diaper.  do i wish this was my dog? no.

brownie (french bulldog)

this little baber was literally hanging out at the alberta street fair.  i don't think he realized how good he has it, if you know what i mean.  he had been hanging out at the fair all day and by the time i saw him was ready to go home and unwind with a glass of merlot and a romantic comedy.  do i wish this was my dog? yes.

puffy (pomeranian)

this little black silky was with his owners picking up a free refrigerator from the side of the street.  he was drooling with the thought of all the foods he could put in the fridge.  the owner acted like this dog was no big thing, i beg to differ.  i love how much is going on with her arm in the last picture.  do i wish this was my dog? yes.

chinese dogs ( chow & goldy)

i recently visited china and this is just a little cock tease of my dogs of china series.  these photos were taken at the bird and flower market, where the lady in the above photo (with the golden) is in a heated argument with another dog owner.  a crowd gathered and at one point the other dog owner angrily grabbed his dog by the back fur and lifted it up.  the lady in the upper photograph (with the chow) was directly across the street from the argument and it looks like she was taking it pretty hard.  just in case you're interested, the other dog owner she was arguing with is pictured below.  do i wish these were my dogs? no.

stumpy (pomeranian)

 

 

this little cutie showed up at my yard sale this weekend.  this pomeranian's name was stumpy and she had an appetite for destruction.  she mainly browsed the clothing sections, but nothing quenched her thirst.  her owner stayed at the sale for two hours and every time he tried to leave he came crawling back to hang out more.  he said the yard sale was an "experiment in social interactions."  the owner continued to talk about stories involving hookers and crack dealers while i took advantage of the extra quality time with stumps.  at one point i was unable to work the sale because i was so distracted by this little beauty.  do i wish this was my dog? yes.
